Job summary

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group at Berkshire College of Agriculture Maidenhead campus is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join the Estates team. This full-time, year-round role covers maintaining buildings, plant and systems to keep the campus safe and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.

You will configure heating, electrical, lighting and building management systems, assist with mechanical and electrical repairs, carry out planned maintenance and safety checks, manage the facilities

Responsibilities

• Configure heating, electrical, lighting and building management systems.
• Assist with mechanical and electrical repairs, servicing and improvements.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and safety checks (fire safety, Legionella management, PAT and emergency lighting).
• Manage helpdesk requests through the Facilities Management system, prepare rooms for teaching and events.
• Open and close college buildings daily, respond to alarms and work with external contractors on site.
