Job summary

Aldenham Estate is seeking an experienced Estate Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance across a diverse property and land portfolio, including an airfield, glamping and leisure operations.

This role requires practical knowledge of property upkeep, safety, compliance and contractor coordination. You’ll work with the in-house team, ensuring records are up to date and issues are resolved promptly.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in property maintenance, facilities, estates or similar practical environments.
• Experience managing contractors and monitoring service delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance practices.
• IOSH/NEBOSH or similar training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day property, facilities and general maintenance across the Estate.
• Support in-house maintenance team and gardener, hands-on where needed.
• Own Health & Safety and compliance across the Estate, including fire risk and Legionella management.
• Decide whether issues can be resolved in-house or require a contractor.
• Source, manage and monitor external contractors, ensuring safe, cost-effective works.
