Job summary

Aldenham Estate is seeking an experienced Estate Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, safety and smooth running of its diverse properties and land across the estate, including airfield and leisure operations.

You will lead hands-on maintenance, manage the in-house team and contractors, and drive Health & Safety, risk assessments and compliance across buildings, grounds and site facilities.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in property maintenance, facilities, estates, building maintenance or a similar practical property environment.
• Experience in landlord and tenant environments, including leases and service charges.
• Relevant Health & Safety training or certifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day property, facilities and general maintenance across the Estate.
• Work with in-house maintenance team and gardener, providing hands-on support.
• Own Health & Safety and compliance across the Estate, including fire risk assessments and Legionella management.
• Identify issues early and decide if in-house or contractor assistance is needed.
• Source, manage and monitor external contractors to ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, safety and compliance records (on-site and digital).
