Job summary

Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated trainer to deliver and assess Essential Skills across Apprenticeship programmes. The role involves Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Literacy and Digital Skills for Business (Levels 2–3) and supporting learners from initial assessment (Entry 3) to Level 3.

You will collaborate with the Digital Learning Manager and the Workforce Education & Development Team to ensure learners meet targets and complete qualifications.

Qualifications

• Delivery and assessment of Essential Skills qualifications (Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Literacy, Digital Skills for Business Levels 2–3).
• Supporting learners working towards Apprenticeship programmes with initial assessments from Entry 3 to Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver training, assessments and workshops (centre based/virtual) to enable learners to achieve regulated qualifications.
• Plan and deliver effective learning, teaching and assessment using a range of methods to enhance learning.
• Support Essential Skills delivery across Apprenticeship programmes.
• Use diagnostic assessments to plan learner support and delivery.
• Meet delivery, marking and submission targets for Essential Skills Qualifications.
