Job summary

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors. KM Recruitment is seeking an Essential Skills Tutor for field-based work in South Wales. The role offers a full-time permanent position with a salary up to £27,300 depending on skills and experience.

Delivery of Essential Skills sessions, alongside planning, assessing and recording learner progress, will form the core responsibilities. A valid UK driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Essential Skills qualifications.
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and support young learners.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Essential Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) through group based and 1:1 sessions, ensuring all learners meet Framework requirements and enhancing employability skills.
• Plan, deliver, assess, and mark learning activities, contributing to standardisation and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain high standards of quality and compliance in line with internal and external quality assurance requirements.
• Accurately maintain learner records, documentation, and evidence of achievement, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
• Support the monitoring and achievement of individual, team, and organisational performance targets.
