Kent County Council's Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children's Service is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for the ESOL programme at Oak Manor, Cranbrook. The role centers on planning and delivering tutoring sessions to groups and individuals to boost learning and progression for UAS children in care.

The post requires dedication to vulnerable learners, experience with robust learning plans, and a focus on their safety and wellbeing. It is a full-time, on-site position with DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Motivated to support learning for vulnerable children and young people.
• Experience delivering robust learning plans and education programmes.
• Understanding of safety and wellbeing of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking children.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver tutoring sessions to individuals and groups of UAS children.
• Promote educational engagement, attainment and progress during resettlement.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse needs of children in care.
