Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated care worker to support Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking children in a residential setting in Lydd, Kent. You will help with daily care, routines, education access and health appointments, while promoting independence and wellbeing.

The role requires a GCSE level education, NVQ3 in Caring for Children and Young People, and a full UK driving licence. You will work within regulatory standards and a shift rota, ensuring safeguarding and records compliance.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent are required.
• NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent is required.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development is required.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in Ofsted-regulated environments is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day care and support to children living within the home.
• Support children to settle in and understand routines and available support.
• Encourage children to express views and participate in decisions affecting them.
• Help children develop independence, life skills and confidence.
• Assist children to access education and healthcare services.
• accompany children to appointments and activities, including transport in company vehicles.
• Support attendance at health appointments, educational settings and community activities.
• Deliver engaging educational, recreational and developmental activities with partners.
• Contribute to weekly activity planning and delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and case notes using the Liberi system.
• Ensure records are compliant with statutory requirements.
• Attend Child in Care Reviews and other meetings.
• Monitor welfare and report concerns.
• Complete safeguarding documentation when required.
• Promote equality, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice.
• Respect children's cultural, religious and personal identities.
• Support day-to-day running of the home including meals, laundry and general duties.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, training and appraisals.
• Work flexibly in a shift rota and promote a safe, caring living environment.
