Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an experienced ESG Technical Business Analyst at AVP level to support CRD VI and CSDR regulatory changes. You will bridge ESG SMEs, data teams, and technology delivery, ensuring regulatorily aligned, data-driven solutions through analysis, data modeling, and backlog prioritization.

You will define data models, architecture, and reporting, while contributing to end-to-end Agile delivery and UAT support in a hybrid ITSD environment, with a salary range of £70,000–£106,000

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analysis and technical business analysis in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of CRD VI/CRR and CSDR; ESG regulatory landscape.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, Python or R for data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Translate ESG requirements into functional specs and data models.
• Design scalable data pipelines, governance, and controls.
• Collaborate with ESG, compliance, risk, and tech teams.
• Support Agile delivery, backlogs, and UAT testing.
