Job summary

Barings in London is seeking a Senior Associate to support ESG analysis for portfolios and to partner with portfolio managers, product managers and sales teams. The role focuses on regular ESG analytics, reporting and the development of quantitative ESG overlays aligned with mandates and decarbonization objectives.

The ideal candidate has experience with ESG data, large data sets, Python/SQL/PowerBI/Excel and knowledge of frameworks such as TCFD, SFDR, TNFD.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly ESG analytics production run.
• Provide monthly and quarterly ESG analytics and data to investment teams and clients.
• Contribute to client meetings and presentations on Barings ESG capabilities.
• Develop ESG portfolio overlay strategies to support client objectives and decarbonization mandates.
• Build and improve analytical tools, dashboards and screens to better incorporate ESG analytics into the investment process.
• Liaise with data vendors and integrate new data sets.
