Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. in the North East region is seeking an Escalator Repair Engineer to maintain a portfolio of escalator units and ensure passenger safety by delivering reliable on-site maintenance and repairs.

You will operate within your defined territory, respond promptly to breakdowns, and strive for first-time fixes. You will interact directly with clients on site, build strong working relationships, and contribute to continual operation while working with market-leading Otis technology and

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Escalator service, maintenance or repair.
Driver’s license is required.
At least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
Good skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
Safety must be a priority.
Able to communicate effectively with customers on site.
Curious, adaptable, and able to work alone or in a team.
Comfortable using electronic and digital tools.

Responsibilities

Carry out 100% of the elevator repairs on units within your territory.
Work within your defined geographical area, managing the portfolio of escalators.
Respond quickly to fix breakdowns, aiming for first-time fix.
Carry out repairs to maintain continual operation and liaise with the customer on site.
