Job summary

Vertical Aerospace, based in the Bristol area, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage day-to-day purchase orders, track orders, and keep the supply chain running smoothly while supporting supplier onboarding and compliance checks.

You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to resolve supply issues, maintain ERP data accuracy, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience using ERP systems to manage purchasing (Infor experience is a plus).
• Good understanding of supply chain or manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working with data and maintaining accurate records.
• A responsive, can-do approach to shifting priorities and tight timelines.
• Clear and confident communicator with both internal teams and suppliers.
• A problem-solver who can stay calm under pressure.
• Prior experience in a purchasing or operational role.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders based on demand signals.
• Track and maintain order book accuracy to ensure on-time delivery.
• Proactively expedite, reschedule, or adjust orders to respond to changing needs.
• Resolve issues related to delivery, quantity, or invoice mismatches.
• Act as the main point of contact for a set of operational suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on late deliveries.
• Support onboarding and compliance checks for new suppliers.
• Keep purchasing data accurate and up to date in our ERP system.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to resolve supply issues.
