Job summary

Vertical Aerospace is seeking an Operational Buyer in the United Kingdom to support fast-moving procurement activities. You will manage purchase orders, work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure parts and materials are available at the right time, cost, and quality.

You’ll play a key role in keeping the supply chain running smoothly by expediting orders, maintaining data in the ERP system, and collaborating with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to resolve

Qualifications

• Proficiency with ERP systems and data entry
• Experience in supply chain or manufacturing environments
• Strong attention to detail and record keeping
• Clear communication with internal teams and suppliers
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and tight timelines
• Experience in purchasing or operational roles is preferred
• Background in business, supply chain, or engineering is helpful but not essential

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders based on demand signals
• Track and maintain order book accuracy for on-time delivery
• Expedite, reschedule or adjust orders to changing needs
• Resolve delivery, quantity, or invoice mismatches
• Act as main point of contact for operational suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on late deliveries
• Support onboarding and compliance checks for new suppliers
• Keep purchasing data accurate in the ERP system
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and Finance to resolve supply issues
