Job summary

ASC Connections in Coventry is seeking a Buyer (Expediting & ERP) to own end-to-end purchasing and proactively expedite orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. You will manage inventory flow using the ERP system to prevent bottlenecks and drive cost-effective procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience as Buyer in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Proven expediting orders and chasing suppliers to resolve delays.
• Hands-on ERP/purchasing experience and data management.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with live requirements.
• Expedite orders and chase suppliers to track production and avoid delays.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and ensure delivery schedules & quality.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Utilise ERP for data management, order tracking and inventory control.
• Support cost reduction through strategic negotiation and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with production, planning and internal teams for coordination.
