East West Railway Company is seeking an experienced ERP Implementation Lead to drive a major enterprise transformation. You will oversee end-to-end ERP delivery spanning Finance, Procurement, HR and Payroll, while guiding the organisation through change and benefits realisation.
The role reports to the Director of Finance initially, with potential growth as the programme scales, and requires strong leadership, governance and cross-functional collaboration across senior teams.
East West Rail is a nationally significant railway project which aims to deliver much-needed transport connections for the vibrant communities between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge. Together these communities contribute around £111 billion to the national economy each year.
EWR is one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, which the government committed to delivering in full in the Autumn 2024 Budget, and again in the 2025 Spending Review as part of its ambition to unlock the potential of the Oxford to Cambridge Growth Corridor.
EWR is being championed by the Government as a key driver to economic growth leading to a potential £78 Billion boost to the UK economy: supporting new towns, housing, and regeneration.
We’re embarking on a programme which will enable EWR Co to migrate to a modern, integrated ERP solution that will link Finance, Procurement, HR and Payroll as well as the wider construction programme. We are looking for an experienced ERP Implementation Lead to take the helm.
This is a high‑impact role for someone who has delivered multiple ERP programmes end‑to‑end and knows what it takes to move an organisation from ‘requirement identification’ to ‘go‑live’ and beyond. If you thrive in complex environments, can challenge constructively, and bring people with you through change, this is your opportunity to shape a transformation that will define our future.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a transformation that will reshape how our organisation operates. You’ll influence strategic decisions, modernise critical systems, and help embed new ways of working that deliver measurable business benefits.
You’ll initially report to the Director of Finance, with the line moving to a new Head of Transformation once appointed. While the role starts without direct reports, we expect the team to grow as the programme scales.
At East West Railway Company, we’re committed to building an inclusive railway for all. We believe that to do that, we must nurture a diverse team that represents the UK communities that we impact. Our approach is simple - to create an environment where everyone is welcome and able to be themselves. We celebrate diversity and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, encouraging applications from all backgrounds and experiences.
