Job summary

Viridor in Exeter is seeking a Shift Team Leader to join the ERF site, working 40 hours per week on a rota basis, reporting to the Operations Manager.

The role offers a salary of £65,363 per year plus shift allowance and a participation in an annual bonus scheme, along with a competitive range of benefits. Applicants should hold ONC/HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH and have process or power plant experience, with CMMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Hold ONC / HNC (or equivalent) in engineering.
• Safety qualifications, IOSH or NEBOSH.
• Knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience in process or power plant operations.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift teams and ensure ERF operation meets KPIs.
• Maximise waste throughput and energy output.
• Organise shift cover and on-call weekends.
• Carry out risk assessments and enforce safe systems of work.
• Induct visitors and contractors to site safety procedures.
• Maintain CMMS records and reporting.
