Job summary

Encyclis Newhurst ERF near Shepshed, Leicestershire, seeks an Assistant Plant Operator to join a 12-hour shift pattern. You will perform operational routines, oversee waste processing, and support safe, compliant plant operation to maintain output targets.

Experience with large boiler/rotating plant and a willingness to learn crane operation are valued, along with a solid safety focus and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires NVQ Level 2 or above in a technical or science subject.
• Relevant energy recovery or large process plant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate the facility safely and efficiently on a shift rotation.
• Promote and monitor site health and safety performance.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and risk assessments.
