Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting a permanent Employee Relations Specialist to join a fast-paced HR Shared Services team in Northampton. The role offers hybrid working and a salary up to 40,000 p/a.

You will bring a few years of ER experience, coach managers, handle disciplinaries, grievances and sickness cases, and contribute to policy improvements while ensuring compliance and high-quality stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• ER experience handling disciplinaries, grievances and appeals.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholder influence.
• Knowledge of employment law and data protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist guidance on high-volume Employee Relations matters to colleagues and leaders.
• Coach managers and senior leaders to resolve ER issues effectively.
• Log advisory calls in CRM and ensure advice is compliant and aligned to policies.
• Manage ER casework end-to-end, including disciplinaries, appeals and grievances.
• Handle long-term sickness and medical review cases for a region or area.
• Contribute to ER policies, guidelines and template letters.
• Support ER-related projects and attend complex hearings as required.
