James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting a permanent Employee Relations Specialist to join a fast-paced HR Shared Services team in Northampton. The role offers hybrid working and a salary up to 40,000 p/a.

You will bring a few years of ER experience, coach managers, handle disciplinaries, grievances and sickness cases, and contribute to policy improvements while ensuring compliance and high-quality stakeholder relationships.

• Manage ER casework end-to-end, including disciplinaries, appeals and grievances.
• Handle long-term sickness and medical review cases for a region or area.
• Contribute to ER policies, guidelines and template letters.
• Support ER-related projects and attend complex hearings as required.

Job description

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Employee Relations Specialist to join a fast-paced HR Shared Services team in Northampton.

Paying up to £40,000 p/a and offering hybrid working, this opportunity will suit someone with at least a few years experience in a high volume employee relations experience, confident in building relationships with stakeholders of all levels.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing first-class specialist advice and guidance on high-volume Employee Relations matters to colleagues, managers and senior leaders
• Partnering with managers and senior leaders to coach them towards effective outcomes and resolutions of ER issues
• Logging advisory calls on a CRM tool and ensuring advice is commercial, impartial, consistent, legally compliant and aligned to company policies
• Managing dispute resolution casework end-to-end, including disciplinaries, appeals and grievances
• Managing long-term sickness and medical review cases across an allocated region or business area
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of Employee Relations policies, guidelines and template letters
• Supporting ER-related business projects and, where required, attending complex hearings or meetings

About You:

• At least two years' experience in an HR role, with experience handling ER cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, appeals and long-term sickness
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and handle complex cases remotely
• Strong organisation, administration and planning skills, with up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and data protection principles
