West Midlands Combined Authority is recruiting an Employee Relations and Policy Specialist to support day-to-day ER casework and policy reviews. You will advise managers, maintain accurate records, and ensure cases align with employment legislation and internal policy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience advising on informal to complex ER casework across lifecycle.
• Ability to coach managers to handle people management issues confidently.
• Experience embedding people policies and providing ER advice aligned to policy and law.
• Educated to degree level and CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Manage a high volume of ER cases from informal to formal hearings.
• Provide day-to-day ER advice to managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate casework records and track actions/outcomes.
• Coordinate input with People & Culture, Legal Services, PBP, managers and Trade Unions.
• Assist drafting, reviewing and implementing people policies and guidance.
• Support change management activity with documented processes and risk guidance.
