Job summary

Dnata seeks an Employee Relations Partner to manage a substantial ER caseload with strong coaching for line managers, ensuring policy alignment and commercial risk management. The role sits within the Central Functions team and requires travel to various UK sites.

The ideal candidate will have experience in ER/HR generalist roles, robust knowledge of UK employment law, and the ability to advise on policies while driving improvements in a manufacturing or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for ER-related issues
• Provide expert advice on HR policies and procedures
• Coach and develop line managers through 1:1 sessions and group training
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR standards and policies
• Maintain accurate and timely ER case records and documentation
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide a consultative approach
• Manage a high-volume ER caseload, including complex cases
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within HR
• Participate in people-focused projects as required
• Champion fairness, inclusion and respect in ER practices

The Role

The Employee Relations Partner plays a critical role in managing a substantial caseload of employee relations issues while ensuring alignment with company policies and business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong coaching skills, a keen business sense for interpreting policies, and the ability to make informed commercial decisions based on understanding of business policy and commercial risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for all ER-related issues.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures.
• Coach and develop line managers to build capability and confidence through 1:1 sessions and group training on: Performance and capability, Disciplinaries and grievances. Absence management
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide a consultative approach to resolving issues.
• Manage a high-volume ER caseload, including complex and sensitive cases.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the HR team.
• Participate in broader people-focused projects as and when required.
• Champion a culture of fairness, inclusion, and respect in all employee relations practices.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience working in Employee Relations/HR Generalist or similar roles with a focus on case management
• Desired experience working in a manufacturing or equivalent environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence and build credibility with colleagues at all levels.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strategic and pragmatic mindset.
• Experience in coaching and training leaders in employee relations best practices
• Commercially minded with a creative approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to travel to different UK based sites.
