The Role The Service Delivery Shift Leader is responsible for leading frontline operational teams to deliver safe, secure, compliant, and efficient services within a transport environment. The role ensures that daily schedules, customer requirements, safety standards, regulatory obligations, and service performance targets are met across the shift.
The post holder must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, security, and compliance at all times. This includes monitoring operational areas, challenging unsafe behaviour, following airside or landside access requirements, supporting audit readiness, and ensuring that all colleagues work within approved procedures. The role requires confidence in escalating risks, recording incidents accurately, and supporting corrective actions following operational disruption or non‑compliance.
This role operates in a shift‑based aviation and transport environment where priorities can change quickly due to flight schedules, vehicle movements, weather, operational disruption, or customer requirements. The post holder may be required to work airside.
