Job summary

Ambitions Personnel in Melton Mowbray is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will provide practical, commercially focused HR advice to managers, manage your own Employee Relations caseload, and ensure HR processes are accurate and consistent.

You will work alongside senior HR colleagues to support managers and employees across the business, handling cases from start to finish and applying UK employment law and ACAS guidance in everyday

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 minimum or working towards it.
• Previous experience as HR Advisor or HR Generalist.
• Strong hands-on Employee Relations experience.
• Experience with disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance cases.
• Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and ACAS guidance.
• Ability to apply HR knowledge to real-life situations.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to produce professional HR documentation.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Confidence to manage your own caseload.
• Methodical and consistent with policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently within a small HR team.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers on Employee Relations matters.
• Manage conduct, disciplinary and absence cases.
• Support sickness absence and attendance management.
• Advise on performance management.
• Manage probationary matters.
• Support and manage grievances.
• Carry out and support workplace investigations.
• Prepare for and support formal HR meetings.
• Produce accurate HR documentation and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure processes are followed.
• Manage caseload and competing priorities.
• Provide practical HR advice to managers.
• Collaborate with the wider HR team for consistent approach.
• Support day-to-day operational HR activities.
