Job summary

Portfolio HR & Reward are representing a world-renowned manufacturing business seeking a HR Advisor to join them on a permanent basis. The role is fully office based in Stoke on Trent with a salary range of £32,000 to £37,000.

The ideal candidate will manage a high-volume ER caseload, guide managers on people management, oversee recruitment and onboarding, and ensure all HR activity complies with UK law and GDPR.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling high-level, high-volume employee relations cases.
• Experience in manufacturing/retail setting desirable but not essential.
• Available to start quickly due to business-critical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for HR guidance; coach managers in people management; promote early, informal dispute resolution.
• Manage diverse ER caseload (discipline, grievances, performance, absence); support investigations/hearings; escalate high-risk cases.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and contract preparation while maintaining accurate HR systems, metrics, and policy improvements.
• Ensure all HR activities, employee records, and case documentation comply with UK employment law, GDPR, and ACAS guidelines.

Portfolio HR & Reward are proud to be representing a world-renowned manufacturing business that is currently seeking a HR Advisor to join them on a permanent basis.

This role is fully office based with their offices based in Stoke on Trent.

This role is offering a salary range between £32,000 and £37,000.

As a successful HR Advisor, you will be responsible for

• Serving as the first point of contact for HR guidance, coaching managers to build confidence in people management and promoting early, informal dispute resolutions.
• Managing a diverse ER caseload (including discipline, grievances, performance, and absence), supporting with investigations, hearings and escalating high risk cases when appropriate
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and contract preparation while maintaining accurate HR systems, metrics, and policy improvements.
• Ensure all HR activities, employee records, and case documentation strictly comply with UK employment legislation, GDPR, and ACAS guidelines.

The ideal HR Advisor will have the following

• Proven experience of handling high-level, high-volume employee relations cases
• Experience working in a manufacturing/retail setting is desirable, but not essential
• Available to start quickly due to business-critical requirements
