Job summary

Ashdown Group is recruiting an HR Advisor for a charity in North West London (Harrow/Stanmore) on an initial three-month contract. The role offers hybrid working with 1–2 days in the office and an hourly rate of £25.50 for a 35-hour week.

You will handle employee relations, advise managers on employment law, support learning and development, and manage HR databases and reporting to help the department cope with a busy period.

Qualifications

  • Experience handling ER/employee relations cases.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance.
  • Proven ability to advise managers and develop capability.

Responsibilities

  • Handle ER cases including grievances, disciplinary and absence management.
  • Advise managers on employment law and policy interpretation.
  • Develop manager capability through coaching and training.
  • Ensure compliance across departments and update HR policies as needed.
  • Assist with learning and development activities and reporting.

HR Advisor / People Advisor
  • Initial 3 month contract

A charity based in North West London are looking for an experienced HR Advisor with immediate availability to join them for an initial three month period. The role is to support the HR department during a busy time of year with possible further extension/permanent employment thereafter.

Duties will include:
  • Employee relations across grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence etc
  • Advising managers on employment law
  • Developing manager capability
  • Ensuring departments are following policies and compliance
  • Support with learning and development
  • Managing internal databases and reporting
To be considered suitable for this HR Advisor role you will need the following skills/experience:
  • Ideally CIPD qualified
  • Strong background in handling ER/employee relations cases
  • Strong understanding of employment law
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

Due to the nature of the organisation a DBS check will need to be completed.
