Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking an Equine Veterinary Nurse to join the Sussex Equine Hospital on a part-time fixed-term basis. You will be part of a skilled team, delivering high-quality nursing care to equine patients and supporting client experiences within a busy practice.

You’ll work 32 hours per week across varied shifts, with weekend cover and on-call as needed. Applicants should be Registered Veterinary Nurses with the RCVS and bring experience in medical and surgical nursing.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS is essential.
• Experience in clinical practice and nursing in a veterinary setting preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with clients and colleagues required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inpatient nursing care and safe animal handling.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with professional standards.
• Collaborate with veterinary surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support advanced diagnostic imaging procedures including MRI and CT.
• Assist with diagnostic techniques such as ultrasonography and gamma scintigraphy.
• Provide patient preparation, monitoring, and aftercare.
