Sussex Equine Hospital in Ashington, part of the IVC Evidensia Group, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a fixed-term 12‑month basis. You’ll deliver nursing care, support imaging and diagnostics, and work closely with surgeons in a collaborative equine care setting.

The role offers varied shifts, emphasis on patient welfare, strong team support, and opportunities for professional development within a BEVA‑approved centre.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and workload management.
• Proactive approach to learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality inpatient nursing care with safe animal handling.
• Maintain medical records to professional, accurate standards.
• Collaborate with veterinary surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support advanced diagnostic imaging procedures (MRI/CT).
• Assist with diagnostic techniques like ultrasonography and gamma scintigraphy.
