The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
The opportunity has arisen within the Public Health Directorate to recruit to the position of Equalities and Human Rights Manager within the Equalities and Human Rights (EHR) Team, based within the Public Health Directorate. The team is responsible for developing and delivering ‘A Fairer NHSGGC: Meeting the Requirements of the Equality Act (Equality Scheme)’ covering equality outcomes and mainstream functions to meet the general duty in the Equality Act. The team’s work to support compliance with equality legislation broadly falls into three categories:
The post holder will provide strategic leadership and lead on policy development related to NHSGGC’s equality duties and legislation, offering expert advice to support NHS strategies, service redesign, and service developments, ensuring services are compliant and meet the needs of a diverse population. The post will also involve leading aspects of the EHR team development, including developing performance measures and resource deployment.
Successful candidates should be qualified to Masters degree standard or demonstrate equivalent ability in health policy, social policy, public health, or business administration, with experience in inequalities or diversity fields. Essential criteria include experience in:
