Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a lead specialist in Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) to act as the Trust's single point of contact for all EPRR matters.

You will develop strategies, test plans, and ensure compliance with NHS EPRR Framework, coordinating with DHSC, NHSE/I, GMHSCP, CCGs, police and local authorities. The role emphasises contingency planning, business continuity, and strengthening patient care across Greater Manchester.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency planning within the NHS or public sector.
• Knowledge of the NHS EPRR Core Standards and national frameworks.
• Strong ability to develop, implement and test contingency plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead specialist for Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) within the Trust.
• Develop, implement and maintain EPRR policies, plans and procedures including major incident and business continuity arrangements.
• Coordinate with DHSC, NHSE/I, GMHSCP, CCGs, police and local authorities on special operations and planning.
• Ensure regular testing of directorate plans and interdependencies; provide assurance to senior management.
• Support risk management to reflect contingency planning in Local Resilience Forum activities.
