Job summary

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Communications Manager to lead communications for the EPR procurement and implementation programme. The post holder will shape the change approach from the outset and ensure colleagues, patients, partners and stakeholders understand the case for change and are supported through the transition to the new system.

Reporting to the Head of Communications in the EPR Programme Team, you will design an end‑to‑end

Qualifications

Master’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or a related field.
Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. CIPR, CIM).
Evidence of continuing professional development in communications and engagement.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy for the EPR programme evolving from through contract award, mobilisation, implementation, go-live and business as usual.
Design and implement an integrated internal and external communications plan that builds awareness, confidence, understanding and readiness across all phases of the programme.
Develop clear, accessible and compelling content to explain the purpose, benefits and impact of the EPR, translating complex technical information into meaningful messages for clinical and non-clinical audiences.
