Snap Inc in Abingdon is seeking a hands-on epitaxy scientist to drive development of III-V epitaxy technologies and enable next-generation devices. You will plan processes, optimize recipes, grow materials, and contribute to IP development.

You will work cross-functionally with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering and QA teams, perform data analysis, failure analysis, and quality assurance to improve yield and uniformity.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with MOCVD systems and epitaxial growth processes.
• Experience with materials characterization techniques (XRD, PL, CL, EL, SEM, AFM).
• Ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
• Experience in photonics or III-V semiconductors is a plus.
• Excellent teamwork, documentation, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Drive development of III-V epitaxy technologies to enable new innovations and next-generation devices.
• Contribute to day-to-day epitaxy operations, including process planning, recipe optimization, material growth execution, and materials characterization.
• Conduct process testing, data analysis, and quality assurance, ensuring continuous improvement in epitaxial performance, uniformity, and yield.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Characterisation & Test, Facilities, and Shift Engineers to achieve project milestones.
• Contribute to strategic IP development and patents.
