Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Staff Etch Process Development Engineer to lead development and optimisation of dry and wet etch processes for III-V photonics in a high‑volume semiconductor environment. This role requires driving yield, NPI, and manufacturing efficiency through data‑driven improvements.

You will collaborate with Product, Equipment, Manufacturing, and R&D teams, analyse process data with SPC/DOE and Lean methods, and champion process scale‑up and continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• BSc/ MSc or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience with SPC/DOE and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently.
• Experience in photonics/III-V/advanced manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and improve semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Optimize dry and wet etch processes for performance, repeatability, and yield.
• Analyse process and equipment data using SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.
• Support NPI, technology transfer, and process scale-up into production.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve uptime and reduce defects.
• Lead yield improvement, scrap reduction, cycle time, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Equipment, Manufacturing, and R&D teams.
