Job summary

IQE is a leading global supplier of compound semiconductor wafers and advanced materials, seeking a Senior InP Process Engineer to optimise epitaxial reactors (MOCVD, MBE) and improve production yield in Cardiff.

You will develop and adjust process recipes, monitor reactor health, and use SPC data to drive continuous improvement while collaborating with production and engineering teams. A STEM degree and 5+ years in semiconductor processing are desirable.

Qualifications

Degree in a STEM related discipline or relevant experience.
5+ years experience in Process Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with InP, MOCVD, MBE preferred.
Experience with SPC and recipe editing preferred.

Responsibilities

Support operation and performance of semiconductor reactors (MOCVD, MBE) to meet specs and targets.
Assist in growth and recipe development for production and calibration activities.
Adjust process parameters to ensure products meet specifications.
Monitor reactor parameters and material outputs for consistency and quality.
Use SPC to chart reactor performance and ensure SOP compliance.
Record activities for traceability in MES and documentation.
Analyse data from characterization tools to guide process control.
Provide troubleshooting and root cause investigations with supervision.
