Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Community Nurse to join a small specialist team covering south west Essex. The role involves independent nurse-led clinics, medication reviews, and remote patient support in a community setting.

You will work with MDT colleagues across primary and secondary care, supporting carers and patients with epilepsy and facilitating home visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a registered nurse.
• Interest in Epilepsy and community nursing.
• Ability to hold nurse-led clinics and provide remote advice.

Responsibilities

• Hold independent nurse-led clinics in the community to review medications.
• Provide advice over the phone or virtually to patients and carers.
• Conduct home visits to patients, including residential and nursing homes.
• Educate the MDT and support carers in managing seizures.
• Collaborate with secondary and primary care in epilepsy management.
