Job summary

Independent Lives in Eastbourne is seeking two Employed Support Workers to provide at-home and community-based support for a young man with autism, learning disability, epilepsy and anxiety. The role asks for 16.5 hours per week, with flexible days and times; duties include personal care, meal support, moving/handling, companionship and transport.

Experience with epilepsy and buccal midazolam is preferred, training can be provided.

Qualifications

• 16.5 hours per week to be discussed at interview.
• 16.5 hours available per week for community access and home support.
• Must be comfortable with pets and able to work with epilepsy.
• Must have right to work in the UK and be willing to undergo DBS check if required.

Responsibilities

• Provision of personal grooming, eating and drinking assistance, and hygiene care.
• Moving and handling and other clinical tasks as required.
• Administration, shopping, cooking and transportation to support daily living.
• Provide companionship and maintain high standards of health and safety.
• No job duties outside of the described care duties unless required by the day.
