Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced registered nurse with an interest in epilepsy to join our specialist Epilepsy Nursing team, covering south west Essex. You will support the clinical lead, run nurse-led clinics in the community, review medications, and provide care advice over the phone or virtually.

Working closely with secondary and primary care, you will educate the MDT in epilepsy management and support carers in creating effective care plans for seizure control, including home

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a registered nurse.
• Interest in Epilepsy and community-based care.
• Ability to educate multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Hold independent nurse-led clinics in the community.
• Review medications and monitor patient wellbeing.
• Conduct home visits to patients and care homes.

Are you looking for a new challenge, do have at least 2 years experience working as a registered nurse with an interest in Epilepsy. If so we would love you to come and join our small specialist team of Epilepsy Nurses covering south west Essex.

Main duties of the job

As part of our team you will support the clinical lead in managing patients in the community with Epilepsy. Your duties will include holding independent nurse led clinics in the community reviewing current medications and how patients are coping with their condition, and giving advice over the phone or virtually alongside, responding to urgent tasks ,home visits to patients , residential and nursing homes, . Educating the wider MDT in the management of Epilepsy and supporting carers in providing care plans on how to manage seizures. Working closely with both secondary and primary care in the management of Epilepsy.
