Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Permanent Environment and Waste Data Analyst to support the delivery of waste and environmental services from County Hall, Leicester. You will handle data, invoices and reporting, aligning with statutory returns and service improvements.

The role requires GCSEs or equivalent, strong MS Office/data analysis skills, and experience in budget monitoring. A hybrid working arrangement may be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or an equivalent Level 3 qualification (e.g. BTEC/NVQ3).
• Experience in data analysis and using MS Office to collate information and produce reports.
• Knowledge of waste management services provided by local authorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good numeric ability.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work.
• Knowledge and experience of budget monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality waste and environmental services, working with the line manager to deliver activities, projects or initiatives.
• Receive, process and validate waste and environmental data and invoices, contributing to statutory returns.
