Role: Toxicologist (Environmental Analytical Chemistry)

Contract Role

Location: Remote, UK coverage

We are seeking an Independent Analytical Chemistry Technical Assessor in Toxicology. Our external Technical Assessors are crucial in the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise to evaluate laboratories across the UK.

Applicants must have the ongoing right to work in the UK.

Ideal candidates will have experience in toxicology or workplace drug testing, with the following qualifications:

• Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory.
• Strong understanding of quality control across various analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of data performance checks and data integrity.
• Experience with matrices involved in toxicology testing.
• Proficiency with screening and instrumental techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with laboratory staff, management, and clients.

Key Skills:

• Practical laboratory experience.
• Updated knowledge of industry-standard methods and sector schemes.
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 testing and calibration laboratories.
• Auditing experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with certification bodies, management, and clients.
