Role: Toxicologist (Environmental Analytical Chemistry)

Contract Role

Location: Remote, UK Coverage

We are seeking an Independent Analytical Chemistry Technical Assessor in Toxicology. External Technical Assessors play a vital role in the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise to evaluate laboratories across the UK.

Ongoing right to work in the UK is required.

Ideal candidates will have experience in toxicology or workplace drug testing, with the following qualifications:

• Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory.
• Understanding of quality control across analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of data performance checks and data integrity.
• Experience with matrices involved in toxicology testing.
• Experience with screening and instrumental techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with staff, management, and clients.

Key Skills:

• Laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of industry-standard methods and sector schemes.
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 testing and calibration labs.
• Auditing experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with various stakeholders.
• Training provided for UKAS assessor report writing and standards.
