Job Description:

Role: Toxicologist (Environmental Analytical Chemistry)

Contract Role

Location: Remote, UK coverage

We are seeking an Independent Analytical Chemistry Technical Assessor in Toxicology. Our external Technical Assessors play a vital role in the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise to evaluate laboratories across the UK.

Ongoing right to work in the UK is required.

Ideal candidates will have experience in toxicology or workplace drug testing, with the following qualifications:

• Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory
• Deep understanding of quality control across analytical techniques
• Knowledge of data performance checks and data integrity
• Experience with matrices involved in toxicology testing
• Experience with screening and instrumental techniques
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with staff, management, and clients

Key Skills:

• Practical laboratory experience
• Updated knowledge of industry methods and standards
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 testing laboratories
• Auditing experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with various stakeholders
• Training provided for UKAS assessor certification
