Job Description:

Role: Toxicologist (Environmental Analytical Chemistry)

Contract Role

Location: Remote, UK Coverage

We are seeking an Independent Analytical Chemistry Technical Assessor in Toxicology. Our external Technical Assessors play a vital role in the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise to evaluate laboratories across the UK.

Ongoing right to work in the UK is required for this position.

Ideal candidates will have experience in toxicology or workplace drug testing, along with:

• Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory.
• Deep understanding of quality control across analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of data performance checks and data integrity requirements.
• Experience handling matrices involved in toxicology testing.
• Experience with screening and instrumental techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with laboratory staff, management, and customers.

Key Skills:

• Practical experience in a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of industry-standard methods and sector schemes.
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 testing and calibration laboratories.
• Auditing experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with certification bodies, management, and clients.
• Training will be provided for report writing and UKAS systems.
