Job Description:

Role: Toxicologist (Environmental Analytical Chemistry)

Contract Role

Location: Remote, UK Coverage

We are seeking an Independent Analytical Chemistry Technical Assessor in Toxicology. Our external Technical Assessors are key to the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise for laboratory evaluations across the UK.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Ideal candidates will have experience in toxicology or workplace drug testing, with the following qualifications:

• Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory.
• Strong understanding of quality control in analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of data performance checks and data integrity.
• Experience with matrices involved in toxicology testing.
• Experience with screening and instrumental techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with laboratory staff, management, and clients.

Key Skills:

• Practical laboratory experience.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry methods and standards.
• Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 testing and calibration labs.
• Auditing experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communication with various stakeholders.
• Training in report writing and UKAS systems will be provided.
