Role: Toxicologist (Environmental Analytical Chemistry)

Contract Role

Location: Remote, UK Coverage

We are seeking an Independent Analytical Chemistry Technical Assessor in Toxicology. Our external Technical Assessors are vital in the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise to evaluate laboratories across the UK.

Applicants must have ongoing right to work in the UK.

Ideal candidates will have experience in toxicology or workplace drug testing, with the following qualifications:

• Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory.
• Strong understanding of quality control across analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of data performance checks and data integrity.
• Experience handling matrices involved in toxicology testing.
• Experience with screening and instrumental techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with laboratory staff, management, and clients.

Key Skills:

• Practical laboratory experience.
• Updated knowledge of industry-standard methods and sector schemes.
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 testing and calibration laboratories.
• Auditing experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with various stakeholders.
• Training in report writing and UKAS systems will be provided.
