Job summary

Thales UK is hiring an Environmental Test Technician to join our Manufacturing & Engineering team in Glasgow. The role involves hands-on testing to support production, ensuring product quality and reliability.

You will use torque wrenches, multimeters and basic electrical test equipment, while documenting work in MS Word and Excel. We welcome applicants with an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, a practical mechanical background, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical background and ability to use common tools.
• Competence with MS Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented, well-organised and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Support production teams to ensure quality and reliability of products.
• Record work accurately and follow procedures.
• Perform simple electrical testing using power supplies and diagnostic tools.
