Job summary

Thales UK in Glasgow is seeking an Environmental Test Technician to join our Manufacturing & Engineering team on a full-time basis. You’ll support production, contribute to the quality and reliability of our products, and work with tools like torque wrenches and multi-meters.

We look for an HNC in Mechanical Engineering, a basic mechanical background, and proficiency with MS Office. You’ll be detail-oriented, able to work in a team or alone, and eager to learn in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Basic mechanical background and experience using common tools.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to work in a team or independently.
• Clear communication and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Using torque wrenches and multimeters during production tests.
• Supporting simple electrical testing with power supplies and diagnostic tools.
• Accurate recording of work and following procedures using MS Word and Excel.
