Job summary

Weightmans in the UK seeks an ambitious environmental solicitor to join our growing national team. You will work alongside market-leading environmental lawyers on contentious, regulatory and advisory matters across energy, waste, infrastructure and real estate.

You will handle environmental compliance, investigations, permitting and due diligence for corporate transactions, with opportunities to develop client relationships and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor status with 3+ years' PQE.
• Experience in environmental, regulatory or public law matters.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on environmental compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Managing investigations and enforcement actions by agencies.
• Handling environmental permitting, waste and resource regulation matters.
• Assisting with due diligence and risk management for transactions and real estate.
• Preparing appeals, regulatory challenges and litigation matters.
• Developing client relationships and contributing to business development.
