Salary: From £53,280 to £66,600 (dependent on experience)

About ScottishPower

Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) is expanding its transmission and distribution infrastructure across Scotland, England, and Wales. The Land & Planning Team plays a vital role in shaping policy and regulatory frameworks to support growth targets.

Responsibilities
  • Developing, coordinating, and submitting consultation responses on planning, energy, and environmental legislation.
  • Ensuring consistency across teams and aligning responses with business objectives.
  • Contributing to engagement strategies and influencing policy.
  • Tracking and reporting consultation responses within SPEN’s license areas.
  • Acting as a key interface between internal stakeholders and national policy discussions.
  • Managing external workstreams and coordinating regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting in developing briefing materials for senior leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in planning, environmental disciplines, or land management.
  • Project management skills, especially in regulatory or infrastructure contexts.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence policy and regulatory decisions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Resilience and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working independently and in teams.
Minimum Requirements
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience in planning, environmental policy, or land management.
  • Ability to interpret legislative frameworks relevant to infrastructure projects.
