Job summary

Almac Group is seeking a placement to support its Environmental team in delivering and improving the environmental management system and sustainability initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience with ISO 14001, data analysis, waste management and sustainability reporting in a regulated setting.

The role offers exposure to a fast-paced, collaborative environment with opportunities for learning, development and long-term progression within the Almac Group.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions (or valid UK work permit).
• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
• A-Level or equivalent with a Science subject.
• Currently studying Environmental Sciences or Sustainability with 2 years completed by end of this academic year.

Responsibilities

• Support the Environmental team in delivering, maintaining and improving Almac’s environmental management system and sustainability initiatives.
• Assist with regulatory compliance activities and sustainability reporting.
• Contribute to data analysis, waste management and environmental monitoring tasks.

The Opportunity

To support the Environmental team in the delivery, maintenance, and improvement of Almac’s environmental management system, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance activities. The placement offers hands‑on experience in environmental monitoring, data analysis, environmental management systems (ISO 14001), waste management, and sustainability reporting.

What you need to be successful

• Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK with no restrictions OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK
• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
• Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) with a pass in a Science subject.
• Currently studying an Environmental Sciences or Sustainability based degree with successful completion of 2 years by the end of this academic year.
