Job summary

Almac Group invites applications for a Manufacturing Operations Placement Student in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. This 12-month placement runs 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri) within the Pharma Services unit, designed for students pursuing a science or technical degree needing a year in industry.

The role supports the Manufacturing Technical Operations team, helps deliver objectives, and prepares coordination for ongoing clinical and commercial operations.

Qualifications

• A Levels or equivalent qualification and current undergraduate/postgraduate study in a Science or Technical related degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and work well independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn to compile both narrative and numerical reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal, customer and regulatory audits.
• Liase with other departments to ensure operational compliance is maintained.
• Ensure GMP standards are maintained at all stages of manufacture in line with procedures and regulatory requirements.

Location: Craigavon, Northern Ireland

Hours: 37.5 hours per week: Monday – Friday

The Role:

As part of this placement position you will support the Manufacturing Technical Operations team in monitoring departmental performance and helping to deliver key objectives.

You will assist the GMP Manufacturing team with the preparation and coordination needed to keep clinical and commercial operations running to schedule.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Assist with internal, customer and regulatory audits.
• Liase with other departments to ensure operational compliance is maintained.
• Ensuring good manufacturing practice (GMP) standards are maintained at all stages of manufacture in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

What you will need to be successful:

• A Levels or equivalent qualification and currently studying at undergraduate or postgraduate level in a Science or Technical related discipline with successful completion of 2 years.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in all work carried out and proven ability to work effectively on your own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment.
• Willingness to learn how to compile both narrative and numerical reports.
