Job summary

Almac Group is inviting 2nd year undergraduates to join its Finance placement program in the United Kingdom. You will support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks and help prepare and analyze financial data within a global health-focused organisation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Finance or Accounting degree, demonstrate strong numerical abilities, initiative, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Finance-related degree and in the 2nd year with a year-in-industry placement
• GCSE (or equivalent) with required grades as stated: English and Maths
• Familiarity with financial software and Excel

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support to the Finance department, assisting in maintaining accurate accounting records
• Contribute to preparation, analysis and reporting of financial data

The Role

The Finance Placement Student will provide essential support to a dynamic Finance department, assisting in maintaining accurate accounting records as well as contributing to the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial data.

Ideal applicants will be pursuing studies in finance or accountancy, possess strong numerical skills, demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, and consistently meet stringent reporting deadlines.

What we are looking for

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree such as Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business, with successful completion of 2 years.
• Minimum of 15 points at Level 2 or above (e.g. GCSE) or alternative approved qualifications, including a C grade in GCSE English language and a B grade in GCSE Maths (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with financial software including Microsoft Excel.
