Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a social housing company based in London who are looking for a Environmental Manager to join their team on a permanent basis to focus on creating affordable, safe, and environmentally-conscious housing and lead our environmental initiatives across London.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor environmental policies, procedures, and systems in line with legislation and industry standards.
2. Lead the environmental strategy for the company, including waste management, carbon reduction, energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable materials.
3. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, environmental permits, and standards such as ISO 14001.
4. Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits across construction sites, ensuring any environmental impact is minimised and sustainability objectives are met.
5. Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental issues to project teams, contractors, and senior management.
6. Work closely with the procurement team to promote the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials on all projects.
7. Monitor and report on environmental performance, setting targets and driving continuous improvement in sustainability practices.
8. Ensure environmental considerations are embedded in project planning, from design to completion.
